FAA/ICAO IR Conversion

COURSE OVERVIEW

Castle Air Academy’s FAA/ICAO IR Conversion consists of extensive ground school followed by a minimum of 10 hours synthetic flight training in our simulators and a minimum of 5 hours flight training in a multi-engine IFR helicopter plus a skills test.

The course is undertaken over a 4 week period, including a separate Type Rating if required.

Entry requirements

For this course must hold, at least a Private Pilot License (PPL) and have night flying privileges if you will use Instrument Rating (IR) privileges at night
In addition to this you will need to have at least 50 hours flight time or have completed an ATP(H)/IR, ATP(H), CPL(H)/IR or CPL(H) integrated training courses
