Facilities
Castle Air Academy will be newly renovated in 2024, enhancing our facilities to provide a better standard of training for you. You will have all you need to learn in a comfortable and well-equipped environment with multiple classrooms, briefing and planning rooms, smart technology, an AW109E simulator, and our fully equipped breakroom.
Gloucestershire Airport
Gloucestershire Airport is centrally located, allowing students easy access to our training hub, only 5 minutes away from the M5. Cheltenham is under 15 minutes away and Gloucester city centre 20 minutes away. Other nearby cities include Worcester, Oxford, Bath, Bristol and Cardiff. The positioning of the Academy was chosen because Gloucestershire Airport and its airspace lend themselves perfectly to instrument training, having ILS, NDB, GPS, and RNAV. Meaning, that all aspects of instrument rating can be carried out on-site without the need for travel. This significantly reduces positioning costs to students and means that time can be used more effectively performing approaches rather than travelling from base to another airport.

Accommodation
Finding accommodation can be quite stressful, so to help provide some ease we have negotiated exclusive discounted rates with local businesses for our students. We have found a range of accommodation nearby to suit all needs and budgets.

The accommodation is a double room within a house in a small private cul de sac; house over three floors, offers off road parking, internet access and Sky TV. It offers a good size double room with use of own bathroom/towels and linen change. Access to the kitchen is not an issue for coffee/tea etc. Run by professional couple, no smoking in the house, dog lover preferred as a pet in the house. No international calls. Breakfast other meals could be discussed/negotiated if required.
