The 2025 Bristow Search and Rescue Pilot Cadetship

The Bristow Pilot Cadet Programme, run in conjunction with Castle Air Aviation Group, is currently closed for applications. We expect future courses to be announced soon, so please check back for updates on the next application window.

There are only a limited number of places available on the Pilot Cadet Programme and competition for places is high.

To apply, you will need a minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have the right to live and work in the UK, and be fluent in both written and spoken English.

Applicants must also hold a valid UK Class 1 Flight Crew Medical Certificate before commencing the commercial phase of the course.

The training is fully sponsored by Bristow, however applicants are responsible for their own living costs throughout the course.

Successful applicants will embark on a 24-month training programme, primarily based at Gloucester Airport, UK, with possible elements of the training taking place in Florida. You should be prepared to relocate if required and, upon completion of the programme, you will be deployed to one of Bristow’s UK Search and Rescue bases.

Please note: The selection dates and course start dates shown previously related to the 2025 intake and are no longer applicable. Details of future intakes will be published once applications reopen.
