Performance Based Navigation (PBN) Training Course

Course Overview

Since August 2020, those who hold an EASA IR are required to complete a Performance Based Navigation (PBN) Training course if they wish to fly IFR/IMC. Qualifying results in PBN being entered into the IR holder’s licence, meaning the candidate is able to exercise the privileges of this rating on any helicopter. Successful pilots are given permission to fly PBN (GNSS) approaches and PBN routes.Castle Air Academy include PBN is all IR courses. It is also available to book separately.

COURSE CONTENT

  • For this course you must hold a valid instrument rating. On completion of our 2 day PBN pilots are given permission to fly PBN (GNSS) approaches and PBN routes
