Facilities

Gloucestershire Airport

Castle Air Academy underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2024, upgrading our facilities to deliver superior training standards. Our state-of-the-art environment includes multiple classrooms, briefing and planning rooms, smart technology, an AW109E simulator, and a fully equipped breakroom, ensuring you have everything needed for effective learning.

Conveniently located at Gloucestershire Airport, Castle Air Academy is easily accessible and is less than 20 minutes from both Cheltenham and Gloucester city centers.

Our prime location at Gloucestershire Airport offers ideal conditions for instrument training, featuring ILS, NDB, GPS, and RNAV capabilities. This allows us to conduct all aspects of instrument rating on-site, eliminating the need for travel. This setup reduces positioning costs for students and maximises training time, focusing on performing approaches rather than commuting between airports.
